MBMI has been supporting the Ministry of Love in Action in the Dominican Republic since 2011, when it began it’s work with children from Los Platanitos neighborhood and Ensanche Bermúdez with approximately 200 boys and girls. These children come from conditions of extreme risk, addiction, the use of boys and girls in microdrug trafficking, exposure to pornography, prostitution, abuse, sexual exploitation and family neglect. Many of their fathers and mothers are or have been deprived of their liberty, making the situation more dire every day.

A show of love and acceptance through attention to basic needs such as clothing, shoes, toys, educational materials.

Each week a group from the ministry meet to carry out various actions focusing on biblical values such as: songs, theatre, biblical reading, helping them deal with a hostile environment, as many come from the streets and from chaotic and broken families.

Monitoring of the family situation of children.

This training has transformed the behavior of these children from extreme aggressiveness to harmonious socialization with their peers and improved family behavior.
